We are looking for a capable and detail-focused
Payroll Advisor to join our team and help deliver a trusted payroll service for our kaimahi.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our Te Māpara (Finance) team in a part-time role that offers variety, ownership and purpose. Reporting to the Group Manager – Payroll and Benefits, you will support accurate, timely and confidential payroll processing across specific entities within Te Rūnanga Group. You will also play a valued part in reporting, systems support, process improvement and helping others navigate payroll with confidence.
He Kōrero Mōu - About You
- You bring at least 3 years’ experience in a complex payroll environment and enjoy work where accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail are essential
- You are confident using payroll systems and reporting tools, with PayGlobal experience highly regarded
- You communicate clearly, build strong working relationships, and enjoy supporting kaimahi and managers with practical, solutions-focused advice
- You are adaptable and professional, and can confidently balance routine processing with reporting, problem-solving and continuous improvement
- You take pride in delivering high-quality work and can stay calm, organised and focused during busy seasonal periods
- You are open to growing your understanding of Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga and te reo Māori, and want your mahi to contribute to something meaningful
