Our Governance and Corporate puni is looking for a Ringa Taritari | Recruitment Partner, to join us for a fixed term parental leave cover for 13 months. This role partners closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to lead end-to-end recruitment services, working in a portfolio model.

The People, Capability and Culture directorate, which is part of the Governance and Corporate puni, develops strategic initiatives, provides change support, and delivers advice, policies and procedures that ensure Te Puni Kōkiri has the organisation, culture, and people capability to support delivery it’s strategy and the Government’s outcomes and priorities.

The Governance and Corporate puni promotes high quality decision making, integrity, resource allocation, and risk management. It connects Ministers and the Ministry, monitors statutory entities, and drives consistent Crown practice in Treaty settlement commitments.

Te whai wāhitanga | The opportunity

The Recruitment Partner reports to the Principal Advisor – Recruitment. You will work alongside another Recruitment Partner and an HR and Recruitment Administrator, to plan, advise on and support managers with recruitment, with an emphasis on talent sourcing, providing strategic and best practice advise, as well as managing risk for the organisation. You will work to ensure fair and transparent recruitment practices are adhered to and our candidate experience is well managed. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders across the motu, as well as contribute to the development and implementation of projects and strategies.

The likely appointment range is $81,903 - $93,847, based on skills and experience. The mid-point is $85,316 per annum.

Mōu | About you

You will have several years experience as a Recruitment Business Partner or Advisor. You will have worked in the public sector environment and have a strong understanding of how recruitment works in the public sector, so you can support managers with the process and provide best practice advice. Your communication skills will be excellent – enabling you to build strong relationships across the organisation to influence and build credibility. Ideally you will have experience with SnapHire, but you must be adept at using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment technology to support managers and to look for opportunities to automate and streamline where possible. You’ll be customer focused and strategic, with the ability to balance policy and pragmatism.
