Associate Dentist Opportunity – 1 Health Wigram, Christchurch

1 Health is seeking an Associate Dentist to join its multidisciplinary medical–dental hub in Wigram, Christchurch. This role is suited to dentists at any career stage who are looking for strong clinical work, a clear financial structure, and the opportunity to grow a book faster than in a stand‑alone dental practice.

• 40% commission on personal net collections (market‑standard associate rate), with the remaining 60% allocated to overheads and equipment/fit‑out investment; once these are covered, any surplus from that pool is shared 50/50 between the dentist and the practice, creating realistic potential to earn above typical flat‑percentage associate packages over time.

• Multidisciplinary environment: onsite GPs, aesthetics nurse and occupational health services with active internal referral pathways and shared patients, consistent with integrated medical–dental models associated with higher dental utilisation and case complexity.

• Faster list growth supported by a steady flow of new medical patients into the hub and the ability to offer combination medical + dental (and where appropriate aesthetic) care plans.

• IV sedation sessions supported by nurses trained in ultrasound‑guided IV access, aligned with DCNZ conscious sedation standards, allowing efficient management of anxious and surgical cases.

• Work‑hard/play‑hard culture within a supportive, evidence‑based multidisciplinary team.

• Discounted gym packages and staff discounts on massage therapy to support physical wellbeing.

• Access to high‑value aesthetic treatments at staff rates, leveraging the onsite aesthetics service.

There is also a potential future pathway to a lead role in a planned second site, with scope for enhanced profit‑share or equity, depending on performance and entrepreneurial interest.

• NZ Dental Council registration (or eligibility) and APC.

• Competent in general dentistry; interest in cosmetic work and/or IV sedation is advantageous.

• Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team and open to a performance‑linked remuneration model.

Location: 1 Health, Wigram, Christchurch (medical and dental services, 7‑day model).
