About the role

They currently seek a Project Engineer with proven experience leading the delivery of essential infrastructure projects with significant exposure to civil structures (WWTP, pump stations, bridges etc).

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commercial and contractual acumen, the ability to price and secure work, and proven experience developing and managing project programmes and methodologies, while leading teams to deliver works safely, on schedule, and to specification.

Responsibilities

• Price work, contribute to tenders, and support procurement activities
• Oversee all technical aspects of projects from initiation to completion
• Develop and implement methodology statements for project delivery
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and design documentation
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to achieve delivery targets
• Identify, assess, and resolve technical issues and risks
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards on site
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation

What we’re looking for

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Circa 10 years’ NZ experience working on civil structures projects
• A solution focussed attitude with the ability to build sound working relationships
• NZ work rights and work experience are essential
