About the role
We’re on the lookout for a Reliability Technician to play a critical role in maximising equipment availability, extending asset life and supporting cost-effective maintenance strategies across our site.
This role is not just about identifying problems, it is about understanding why they occur and driving long-term, sustainable improvements. You will use a combination of advanced condition monitoring tools, structured problem-solving, and engineering judgement to support better maintenance decisions and optimise asset performance.
This role operates on a 4 days on, 3 days off roster, providing variety, structure, and strong work-life balance within a dynamic manufacturing environment where reliability is critical to success.
Key Responsibilities Of This Role Include..
- Conduct condition monitoring activities including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic monitoring, and oil analysis
- Perform regular inspections of plant and equipment to identify emerging issues and potential failures
- Collect, manage, and analyse condition monitoring data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
- Diagnose equipment faults and determine root causes using structured problem-solving methodologies
- Support precision maintenance activities including alignment, balancing, and lubrication improvements
- Develop and maintain lubrication and oil analysis programs
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations to support maintenance planning and asset management decisions
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure identified defects are effectively addressed
- Contribute to a safe working environment by proactively identifying equipment-related risks
About You
You will bring a strong reliability and maintenance background along with a passion for improving asset performance and operational excellence.
To be successful, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a reliability, maintenance, or asset care role within dairy, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment
- Experience with vibration analysis (CAT 2 preferred), thermography, ultrasonic monitoring, and oil analysis
- Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
- Experience applying Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and CRMP methodologies
- Proven experience developing and maintaining lubrication and oil analysis programs
- Sound knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP systems
- Relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualification (advantageous)
