Project Manager - Hamilton

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our Hamilton team, supporting the delivery of a strong pipeline of Property & Buildings projects across the Waikato region.

This is a Junior level role that offers a great opportunity for a developing PM to take ownership of projects end-to-end, while learning from experienced leaders and building your career in a nationally recognised consultancy.

Role

In this role, you’ll help manage projects from initiation through to delivery and close-out, ensuring successful outcomes for our clients. You will:

• Assist with managing projects to deliver on time, within budget and to a high quality standard
• Prepare project briefs, specifications, contract documentation and fee estimates
• Coordinate project teams and maintain clear communication across stakeholders
• Build strong client relationships and provide proactive updates on project progress
• Support financial management including budgeting, forecasting and invoicing
• Identify and manage risks, ensuring successful delivery of project objectives
• Apply structured project management methodologies while adapting to project needs
• Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes that support both our clients and the communities we serve.

About You

You’ll be an organised, motivated early career Project Manager who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You Will Bring

• A relevant degree in Property, Construction, Engineering or a related field
• Experience assisting with project delivery within the built environment or consultancy sector
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• An understanding of project delivery frameworks, contracts and risk management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A client-focused, solutions-oriented approach
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification (or working towards) is advantageous
• A clean, current driver’s licence
