Job Purpose
To provide operational leadership and site governance of the New Zealand manufacturing facility. This role drives the integration of talent development, engineering excellence, and safety protocols to ensure "Addiction" remains a leader in premium pet nutrition.
Operational
Management
- Execute the site manufacturing roadmap to meet domestic and export demand.
- Lead capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure facility throughput meets quarterly targets.
Quality & Process
- Provide oversight to the Process & Product Development Manager to drive OEE and optimize yield targets.
- Audit the site QA framework to ensure 100% compliance with MPI and RMP requirements.
Engineering & Assets
- Oversee the Project & Maintenance Engineering Manager on site CAPEX projects and TPM strategies.
- Ensure equipment reliability to eliminate unplanned production downtime.
EHS & Risk
- Partner with the EHS Lead to exercise due diligence under the HSWA.
- Verify the effectiveness of risk assessments and safety audits through structured reporting.
Financial Control
- Manage the plant operational budget (Labour, Utilities, Raw Material Variance,Maintenance).
- Implement Lean/Six Sigma tools to optimize cost-per-tonne without compromising quality.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or related technical discipline. (MBA or Post-graduate qualification is desirable).
Work Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in food/FMCG manufacturing.
- Proven track record in high-care/high-hygiene environments (e.g., Dairy or Export Pet Food).
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary management teams.
- Training/License/Certification.
- HACCP / Food Safety Management; Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt); Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP or Microsoft Dynamics).
