Risk Manager (Delivery)

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role coaches and supports Technology Platforms and change teams to adhere to the Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks and supporting requirements by providing expert first line of defence (1LoD) risk and compliance advice to the first line business.

You'll partner with Platform Leads, Delivery Leads and Product Owners to strengthen risk maturity, embed effective governance and risk practices, and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives coaching teams to effectively manage delivery and delivered risks.

What You'll Do

• Providing expert risk advice, challenge and guidance to delivery teams, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, delivery governance requirements and risk appetite.
• Coaching and uplifting capability across delivery teams, embedding consistent risk management practices, governance requirements and delivery guardrails.
• Supporting and challenging stakeholders through delivery risk assessments, governance reviews, assurance activities and risk-based decision making.
• Reviewing assurance outcomes and control effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations to strengthen risk management practices and control environments.
• Identifying emerging risks, issues and trends across change portfolios, ensuring appropriate escalation, reporting and management actions are in place.
• Working closely with Risk Advisory, Enterprise Risk, Technology Risk and delivery stakeholders to ensure delivered risks are effectively transitioned into ongoing business risk management frameworks.

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years' experience in risk, compliance, legal or governance roles within financial services or insurance
• Strong experience supporting change delivery, project governance and operational risk management
• Proven ability to influence and challenge senior leaders and stakeholders at executive level
• Experience coaching teams and uplifting risk maturity across complex business environments
• Deep understanding of risk management frameworks, governance practices and control environments
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk concepts into practical business outcomes
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Law or a related discipline
• Experience with Project Management tools and IBM OpenPages
