We have a total of 6 positions available throughout Canterbury and Southland, including Christchurch, Kaikoura, Twizel and Invercargill.

We are seeking reliable, hardworking painters to join our team. Our company
specializes in all aspects of painting, including new residential builds, exterior
repaints, small to medium commercial projects, and shop-fitting throughout
Canterbury and Southland.
We have ongoing projects in Canterbury and Southland, including Christchurch,
Kaikoura, Twizel and Invercargill. Candidates must be flexible and willing to travel
and work in any of these regions for several weeks at a time as required by project
demands.
We have a total of 6 positions available throughout these locations.
Requirements
- Minimum three years’ relevant experience in interior and exterior painting
(residential or commercial).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to trade practices and producing high-quality work.
Remuneration is based on skills and experience, with rates typically ranging from
$27–$30 per hour.
The main duties of this role include protecting, maintaining, and decorating the
surfaces of buildings and structures, as well as performing small plastering, gib
stopping, and crack repair.
Key responsibilities include
- Preparing surfaces by scraping, sanding, and removing or stripping old paint.
- Masking, protecting surfaces, and applying sealers and primers.
- Painting, staining, or varnishing various surfaces.
Experience with commercial work, operating airless spray units, wallpapering, and
plastering is an advantage, as well as holding an EWP license.
General working hours are Monday through Friday, but Saturday work can be
included.
An average 40 hours per week (minimum 30 hours guaranteed, maximum 45 hours).
Overtime is paid at the standard hourly rate.
