We, Automeister Limited, are looking to hire Auto Mechanic Technicians to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles.

  • Hours per week: minimum of 30 hours a week is guaranteed, maximum40 hours of workper week

Hourly rate: $30.00 - $35.00 depends on the coach experiences and level

Job description

  • To perform engine, transmission, brake, steering, shock and all other parts inspect, diagnoses, repair, and replacement on all required vehicles.
  • To carry out basic care maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations, diagnose.
  • Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance schedule and documentationof all equipment, service and repair for vehicles and equipment as needed.
  • To carry out service inspections, technicians test and lubricate engines and other major components
  • To conduct complex problems, plan and execute vehicle repairs. Be able to use computerized shop equipment and work with electronic components while maintaining your skills with traditional hand tools.
  • To diagnose problems and determine the cause of the failure on various pieces of equipment and engines.
  • To read and interpret technical manuals and any other information dealing withareasof expertise.
  • Assists with specification and upgrade of all repaired and replaced vehicles andequipment.
  • To troubleshoot and repair or replace digital electronic components and computers.
  • After repairing reassemble engines and parts
  • Any other duties the Employer may reasonably require the Employee to perform.

Job pre-requisites

  • At least 3 years Automotive and engine repair experience required, or relevant Level 4qualification required.
  • Hold a valid full driver license.
  • Specialising in BMW models and circuits is preferred
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
  • Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
  • Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
