The Content Librarian has responsibility for managing all stages of the library’s collection life cycle including selection, responding to customer requests, promotion, collection maintenance and deaccessioning. They will work as part of the Access & Content Team to deliver on the libraries’ goals of supporting freedom of information and being the gateway to the world.
This is an extremely desirable role and we are looking for someone with strong communication and organisation skills who can track workstreams across multiple collections. Our ideal candidate has that special “knowing” and keeps informed of publishing trends and customer interests and can operate impartially from their own tastes.
This role includes regular rostered shifts providing front line service to library customers.
A library qualification and relevant experience are required.
