Your Role

Chubb is seeking a motivated and curious Claims Examiner or Senior Claims Examiner to join our Casualty & Financial Lines Claims team in New Zealand.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering excellent outcomes, and wants to build their career in a supportive and collaborative environment. Depending on experience, we are open to appointing at either Claims Examiner or Senior Claims Examiner level.

About The Role

You will manage a diverse portfolio of liability claims in multiple lines of business across Casualty (including general and product liability and specialty lines such as LifeSciences) and Financial Lines. From initial notification through to resolution, you will apply sound judgement, maintain accurate reserves, and ensure claims are managed proactively and in line with Chubb’s best practice standards.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• We’re looking for someone who brings:
• 2+ years’ experience handling liability claims, across Casualty and/or Financial Lines
• Tertiary qualifications, ideally a law degree
• A practical, common-sense approach
• Curiosity and a genuine desire to learn
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence working with insureds, brokers, counsel, and internal stakeholders
• The ability to manage claims with care, professionalism, and good judgement
