Senior Maintenance Technician - Infrastructure

We're looking for a trade-qualified and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to help lead the maintenance and operational performance of RealNZ's diverse infrastructure assets. Based in Te Anau or Queenstown, you'll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing both planned and reactive maintenance across our infrastructure portfolio.
You’ll take ownership of maintenance projects from start to finish, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. Working closely with contractors and internal teams, you'll bring a practical, hands-on approach while providing technical leadership and mentoring to our wider infrastructure team.
This role includes regular travel throughout the lower South Island from Queenstown to Fiordland and Rakiura supporting the infrastructure needs that enable RealNZ's unique experiences.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent technical certification
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with infrastructure assets, heavy equipment, facilities, or industrial systems
- Strong understanding of planned maintenance, fault finding, asset management, and contractor supervision
- Proven ability to coordinate maintenance activities and deliver quality outcomes safely and efficiently
- Excellent record-keeping, planning, and organisational skills
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to mentor and support team members
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Full New Zealand Driver Licence
