Catering Assistant

Permanent Part time 25 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a courteous and reliable individual who enjoys interacting with the elderly and making their day by serving amazing meals.

Cater Plus is the proud service provider for the new Ashbury Heights Resthome in Whangarei. We are committed to providing high quality meals that are produced fresh everyday.

To be successful in this role you need to be able to multitask, have a friendly disposition and show good communication skills in order to interact with care staff and residents.

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to work 25 hours per week across a 7-day roster, afternoon and weekends essential. Perfect for those looking for flexibility to work around life’s other commitments.

The ideal candidate will:

• be friendly and engaging with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude,
• support our talented chefs by keeping the kitchen clean and doing dishes,
• be able to work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays,
• be able to follow instructions to prepare and serve delicious and wholesome meals.
• be an exceptional team player who is able to take responsibility and work unsupervised.
• have a practical understanding of New Zealand Food Control and safety regulations.
• have good time management skills.
