We’re looking for an experienced Associate or Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Christchurch Building Services team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in one of Beca’s priority growth areas, combining technical leadership with meaningful client engagement across a diverse project portfolio.

In this role, you’ll use your technical expertise to deliver practical, commercially sound solutions across complex building services projects. You’ll lead and contribute across the full project lifecycle, from concept and strategic planning through to detailed design, while managing multiple projects, coordinating resources, and ensuring high-quality delivery. You’ll also guide and review the work of other engineers, supporting strong technical outcomes and team development.

You’ll build trusted client relationships by understanding needs and delivering tailored solutions that support long-term partnerships and repeat work. Your communication and consulting skills will enable you to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.

With experience across sectors such as Health, Education, Commercial, Defence, or Transport, you’ll bring strong market insight and a proven track record of delivery. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing leadership and development of the team.

You’re a well-networked Chartered Electrical Engineer with a strong track record in building services and a reputation for developing trusted client relationships. You bring a strategic mindset and enjoy contributing to team success and growth. You’re confident in your knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and relevant standards, with strong technical capability in electrical building services design.

You’re an effective client leader who builds enduring relationships and turns opportunities into outcomes. You’re comfortable working with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders across all levels of an organisation. You embrace challenges, encourage innovation, and lead with a mindset of continuous improvement.
