We have an opportunity for a Risk & Compliance Manager to join our team, supporting the Wealth business unit. You’ll partner closely with the business, providing practical guidance on risk and compliance, and helping embed strong, everyday practices that enable better decisions and outcomes.
Te Tūranga | The role
As a Risk & Compliance Manager, you’ll be a key partner to the business, helping embed strong risk and compliance practices into day-to-day operations.
In This Role, You Will
- Act as a first point of contact for risk and compliance support within your assigned area
- Provide advice to the business to ensure alignment with laws, regulations, policies, and standards
- Support incident and issue management, including identifying root causes and driving improvements
- Contribute to risk assessments, control design, and ongoing compliance activities
- Deliver quality reporting and insights to support decision making
- Support risk and regulatory change initiatives and uplift risk maturity across the business
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to lift capability and ownership of risk
You’ll be part of a partnering pod that works closely with the business, helping them achieve their goals in a safer and more sustainable way.

We’re open to different backgrounds, but ideally you’ll bring a mix of risk, compliance, and financial services experience.
What Will Help You Succeed
- Strong understanding of risk and compliance frameworks and how they apply in a business environment
- Hands-on experience with managed investment schemes (MIS) or similar investment products or services. This is a key area for the role and will really help you stand out
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them clearly to a range of stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work at pace
- A proactive, curious, and collaborative approach to your work
