This role sits in Kiwibank’s Core Programme Party & Mandates workstream, at the centre of how we manage customer relationships, permissions, and access across Kiwibank.
You’ll work closely with the Senior Business Transformation Lead to shape and deliver change that improves how we manage mandates, permissions, and customer data. The work is complex, but the goal is simple - make things clearer, safer, and easier for both our customers and our people.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take broad ideas and help turn them into something tangible:
- Clear problem statements
- Well-defined outcomes
- Work that teams can actually pick up and deliver
This is a practical role. You’ll spend your time working across business and technology to:
- Understand how things work today
- Map out what needs to change
- Translate that into clear requirements and delivery-ready work
You’ll also help keep us honest — making sure we balance customer experience, risk, and compliance in the right way:
- Breaking complex problems into clear, manageable pieces of work
- Defineing end-to-end processes, including data, rules, and decision points
- Translateing business needs into structured, buildable requirements
- Working closely with delivery teams to shape and refine solutions as we go
- Runing workshops and bring the right people together to get to clear outcomes
- Identifying risks, gaps, and dependencies early — and call them out
- Keeping the customer front of mind, especially where permissions and access impact their experience
- Supporting consistent, scalable ways of working across Party & Mandates

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in the grey — you don’t wait for everything to be defined, you help define it. You’ll likely bring:
- Strong experience breaking down complex change into clear, deliverable outcomes
- The ability to turn business problems into practical delivery approaches and requirements
- Confidence working across business, tech, and delivery teams to align on the right outcome
- Strong facilitation and communication skills in fast-moving environments
- Experience working with risk, compliance, and regulated environments
And ideally:
- Experience with customer data, permissions, mandates, or access control
- A track record of delivering outcomes in complex programmes or transformation environments
Above all, you’re someone who:
- Focuses on outcomes over activity
- Brings people with you
- Isn’t afraid to challenge when things don’t feel right
