Carpenter

Requirements: At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably few years from NZ.

driver's license and Clean police records.

Candidate will have strong technical knowledge in carpentry and woodworking, including experience with framing, finishing, and various building materials. As a Carpenter, you will work on a range of projects, from constructing frameworks to installing doors, windows, cabinetry, and other fixtures, while ensuring all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.

Your role will include - but not be limited to - the following duties:

• Framing & Construction: Build and install frameworks, partitions, floor joists, and rafters for both residential and commercial projects.

• Finish Carpentry: Install moldings, trims, doors, cabinets, and other finishing components, ensuring precise fit and aesthetic quality.

• Repair & Maintenance: Perform repairs on existing structures and frameworks as needed, identifying and addressing structural issues.

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and layout plans accurately.

• Material Selection: Order, choose and assess materials for quality and suitability, ensuring efficient use and minimal waste.

• Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively to complete tasks. Cut wood joints.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople and project managers to achieve project goals within timelines and budgets.

• Compliance: Adhere to safety standards, building codes, and regulations to maintain a secure and compliant work environment. Strong commitment to maintaining safety standards on job sites.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in carpentry techniques, knowledge of building materials, and familiarity with construction methods. Work with various materials and complete tasks as directed.

• Physical Stamina: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.

• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure quality and precision in all work.
