The Kitchen Place Limited is a well-established Auckland-based manufacturer specialising in high-quality customised cabinetry, benchtops, kitchens, wardrobes and vanities. Operating since 2006, we provide integrated design, manufacturing, supply and installation solutions for residential renovations, bespoke interior projects and multi-unit apartment developments.

We are seeking a full-time Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate our day-to-day operational activities, with a strong focus on supply planning, storage control, production support, logistics coordination and timely delivery of finished cabinetry and related products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, direct and coordinate the supply, storage and distribution of cabinetry, benchtops, kitchen systems, wardrobes, vanities and related manufactured products.
  • Manage operational workflows between design, manufacturing, warehousing, dispatch and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Coordinate inventory levels, materials availability and finished-goods storage to support production schedules and customer installation timelines.
  • Oversee the movement, handling and dispatch of products from the company’s East Tamaki manufacturing facility to residential and project sites.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, installers and internal teams to ensure goods and materials are delivered accurately, safely and on time.
  • Develop and monitor operational procedures for stock control, order fulfilment, delivery scheduling and quality handling of customised products.
  • Review production and delivery requirements for residential renovations, bespoke cabinetry jobs and multi-unit apartment projects.
  • Identify operational risks, resolve supply or delivery issues, and implement practical improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Supervise and support staff involved in warehousing, dispatch, logistics coordination and operational administration.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, including stock movements, delivery schedules, supplier coordination and project-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company standards and customer service expectations.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing coordination, project delivery or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, storage management, dispatch coordination and supplier communication.
  • Experience in cabinetry, kitchens, construction, manufacturing, fit-out or building materials industries will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple jobs and deadlines in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety and timely delivery.
