We’re looking for a People Systems Experience Specialist to shape how work enters, is prioritised, and delivered across People Systems - ensuring everything we do is grounded in great user experience and clear outcomes.
Te tūranga | The role
This role sits at the heart of how work flows into People Systems & Analytics.
You’ll act as the single point of entry for demand, working with stakeholders to shape requirements that are clear, well-formed, and aligned to both user experience and business priorities.
You’ll bring an experience-led lens to delivery - ensuring solutions are simple, usable, and avoid unnecessary complexity or rework.
Ngā kawenga | What you’ll be doing
- Act as the entry point for all work into People Systems and Analytics, ensuring demand is visible and well understood
- Work with stakeholders to shape and refine requirements into clear, experience-led outcomes
- Translate business needs into well-defined requirements grounded in user experience and service context
- Partner with Service Delivery teams to incorporate frontline insights, behaviours, and pain points
- Challenge and refine requests to ensure problems are clearly defined and aligned to People priorities
- Ensure work entering delivery meets agreed standards of clarity, readiness, and feasibility
- Create and maintain a clear, visible delivery pipeline aligned to strategic and operational priorities
- Support prioritisation planning, balancing strategic initiatives, risk, compliance and BAU demand
- Partner with system and delivery teams to ensure solutions reflect user needs and avoid unnecessary complexity
- Proactively challenge or redirect work that risks degrading user experience or service sustainability

We’re looking for someone who combines strong stakeholder engagement, systems thinking and a passion for user experience:
- Experience shaping requirements in People, HR or service-based environments
- Strong understanding of user experience and service design principles
- Ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear, usable and well-defined requirements
- Experience building and managing delivery pipelines and prioritisation frameworks
- Strong judgement and decision-making in ambiguous environments
- Confidence to challenge constructively and influence without direct authority
- Systems thinking, with the ability to understand end-to-end impacts across services and platforms
