TERMINAL OPERATOR

• Immediate start
• Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 4 pm (PLUS night shifts 5 pm to 5 am when a vessel is in port)

The Terminal Operator is responsible for operating and providing first-line maintenance support for site equipment, in particular the ship unloader.

This is a role requiring good physical fitness, adaptability, and strong mechanical/operational experience.

Key duties include

• Maintenance and general yard work whilst ensuring safety is adhered to on site
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers and management
• Undertaking truck loading in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Undertaking minor repair and maintenance tasks on site equipment alongside the Terminal Engineer
• Loading Coastal vessels
• Supervision of unloading of all import shipments.

You wlll bring a passion for safety, flexibility to work the variable hours of work, and strong communication/relationship building skills.
