The Marketing Manager leads and supports a team of dedicated specialists across brand, community engagement, design, digital, and marketing disciplines to deliver integrated and insight-driven strategies that support Fire and Emergency's risk reduction objectives.

Bringing expertise in behaviour change marketing, you will drive the development of integrated campaigns that influence public awareness and encourage safer behaviours.

As an experienced leader, you will also support a great team, providing stability, coaching and a clear work programme.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will strengthen our brand and reputation, ensuring marketing efforts are aligned, impactful, and focused on delivering better outcomes for the communities we serve.

This is a fixed term or secondment opportunity through to 26 February 2027.

Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role:

Bringing a passion for leadership, you will be comfortable managing a high performing team. It goes without saying that you will also have a strong knowledge and understanding of brand, design and behaviour change marketing and research principles and campaigns.

To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will:

  • Be a strategic thinker who leads and delivers evidence-based, data-driven campaigns achieving measurable behaviour change and community risk reduction outcomes
  • Lead and inspire high-performing multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful marketing and communications initiatives
  • Strengthen Fire and Emergency New Zealand's brand, reputation and community engagement across diverse audiences
  • Partner across the organisation to deliver integrated, innovative and strategically aligned communications and marketing initiatives.
  • Bring strong programme planning, budget management and supplier management experience.

The salary range for this role is $151,774-$168,638 (pro-rated), actual salary dependent on skills and experience.
