As a Senior Data Business Analyst in our Data Delivery team, you will sit right at the intersection of business and engineering — shaping ideas, working with data, and helping teams deliver solutions that genuinely add value.

You might already be a Business Analyst with strong data exposure. Or you could be coming from a data, Business Intelligence, or engineering background where you’ve naturally found yourself doing BA-type work — working with stakeholders, clarifying requirements, translating needs into solutions, and helping drive delivery.

We know not everyone has had the formal “BA” title — and that’s absolutely fine. If you’re already playing that role in practice and enjoy working across both business and technical spaces, we’d love to hear from you.At its core, this role is about taking complex problems and turning them into clear, structured, data-driven solutions.

This role is accountable for

Translate business needs into clear data requirements (data flow diagrams, user stories, mappings, business rules)

Work hands-on with data using SQL to explore, validate, and test

Define source-to-target mappings and transformation logic

Manage and refine Confluence documentation & Jira backlogs to keep delivery moving

Facilitate workshops and align stakeholders

Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts early

Support and mentor others in the BA community

To thrive and excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with an agile mindset and familiarity with Scrum and Kanban methodologies

Experience delivering data or technology projects, either as a Business Analyst or in a similar role

Proficient in SQL with strong confidence in working with and analyzing data

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and end-to-end data flows

Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, with tools such as Jira

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Demonstrates curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and self-development

Proactively identifies and raises technology and operational risks, issues, and their potential impact within the organisation, team, or project
