About The Role

Ready to make a real difference in your community? We're looking for an exceptional Neighbourhood Facilitator to join our team on a full-time (40 hours per week), fixed-term contract through to June 2027.

You Will Work Collaboratively With Our Community, Council And Agency Colleagues To Enable Thriving And Connected Communities. Taking a Holistic Approach To Neighbourhoods, You Will Lead An Organisational Shift To Community-led Development, With a Focus On Wellbeing. You Will Optimise Collective Impact By

  • Harnessing local insights, identifying local strengths and understanding local needs and aspirations.
  • Connecting groups and people to form and/or strengthen neighbourhood networks.
  • Empowering and enabling local people to work together to achieve shared goals.
  • Leading a one council, holistic approach in Neighbourhoods.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have proven experience in Community led development and will have a strong understanding of the local community assets we have across our Neighbourhoods.
  • Be committed to embedding the values and practices of te ao Māori.
  • Have strong engagement skills and the ability to collaborate across Council and in the community.
  • Be adaptable in working with people from diverse and broad backgrounds.
  • Be confident in influencing key stakeholders and decision makers.
