We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Home Lending Modernisation Team. You will be working with our Home Lending Product Managers, and broader business experts to deliver best in market products and services for our home loan customers. This role reports to the BA Practice Lead and there are 30+ Business Analysts within the practice, working on a substantial range of initiatives, that can offer support and guidance to our BA colleagues to ensure the BA Service we provide is second to none.

This is a full time, 18-month fixed term opportunity based in Auckland. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Work as a crucial component of a project team responsible for enhancing existing systems and/or developing new systems
  • Analyse workflow to create process maps and isolate areas of potential improvement.
  • Produce User Stories to communicate user requirements for our business and technology stakeholders.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the overall efficiency, functionality and user friendliness of system enhancement and development.
  • Prepare material and provide training and assistance to our end users following implementation.

What technical skills / skills are required for this role?

  • Strong ability to converse with both business and technology employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Sound ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and to work with our technical partners to develop appropriate technical solutions.
  • Sound business requirement / User Story writing and documentation skills.
  • Some API / integration experience.
  • Data analytics experience.
  • Strong customer service focus.
