SP Bakery Limited, trading as Farmhouse Bakery & Café, is a busy bakery and café located in Warkworth, Auckland. We currently operate from 5:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Due to personal circumstances, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Bakery Manager to join our team and assist with the day-to-day management and operation of the business.

Key responsibilities include

• Determine product mix, stock levels, and service standards to meet customer demand
• Develop and implement purchasing, pricing, and marketing strategies
• Promote and advertise bakery and café products and services
• Monitor sales performance and maintain high standards of customer service
• Maintain records of stock levels, inventory movements, and financial transactions
• Prepare and manage budgets and assist in achieving business profitability targets
• Coordinate ordering of ingredients, supplies, and retail products
• Recruit, train, supervise, and manage bakery and front-of-house staff
• Prepare staff rosters and monitor employee performance
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and occupational health and safety requirements
• Resolve customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner
• Perform other related tasks as required by employer

Skills and Experience Required

• A Level 6 or higher qualification in Business, Management, Hospitality, or a related field; or
• At least three years of relevant work experience in a bakery, café, hospitality, retail, or food service environment
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to manage stock, budgets, and staff effectively
• Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and different shifts as required by the business
