Distribution Manager

PX Trading Limited is a New Zealand trading business specialising in the sale of fresh meat and related products. The company is committed to providing high-quality beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and other meat products to local customers while maintaining high standards of food safety, product quality, and customer service. We are looking for a distribution Manager to joint our team.

Work hours: Minimum 30 hours /week maximum 50 hours

Monday to Sunday

Tasks Include:

• Planning, coordinating and monitoring the procurement, storage, inventory control and distribution of food products and other trading goods.

• Developing and implementing efficient supply and distribution procedures to ensure timely delivery of products to customers throughout New Zealand.

• Monitoring stock levels and sales trends, and preparing inventory plans to maintain adequate stock while minimising storage and operational costs.

• Liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders to ensure smooth importation and delivery of goods.

• Negotiating pricing, delivery schedules and supply arrangements with suppliers and service providers.

• Overseeing warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, stock rotation and dispatch of products in accordance with company requirements and food safety standards.

• Monitoring inventory records and distribution activities to ensure accurate stock control and efficient movement of goods.

• Coordinating customer orders and arranging transportation to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.

• Reviewing supply chain performance and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

• Supervising logistics, warehouse and distribution staff, allocating duties and monitoring performance to ensure operational targets are achieved.

Requirements

At least 2 years work experience in the same industry or Bachelor degree in the related field.

Good communication skills

Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate the supply, storage, inventory control, and distribution of goods.

Someone who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be told twice.
