Duty/Facilities Manager

The Duty / Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, operation, maintenance, security, and compliance of the company's warehouse and logistics facilities. The role ensures that warehouse operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company policies, health and safety requirements, customs obligations, and industry best practices.

This is a full time role with a minimum of 30hours gauranteed

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse and associated facilities.

  • Coordinate the efficient use of warehouse space, storage systems, equipment, and resources.

  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve productivity and service delivery.

  • Monitor facility performance and identify opportunities for operational improvements.

  • Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean, organised, secure, and functional condition.

  • Supervise warehouse personnel and coordinate daily work schedules.

  • Allocate tasks and monitor staff performance to ensure operational targets are achieved.

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of warehouse staff.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to employees on operational and safety requirements.

  • Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions where necessary.

  • Oversee inventory control processes and stock management systems.

  • Monitor goods receiving, storage, and dispatch activities.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective measures.

  • Ensure warehouse operations support customer service and delivery requirements.

  • Liaise with customs, freight forwarding, transport, and logistics providers to ensure efficient movement of goods.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, freight forwarding, transport, or distribution environments is needed.

  • Experience supervising and coordinating warehouse staff, including forklift operators, warehouse personnel, and fleet drivers is an advantage

  • Demonstrated ability to manage daily warehouse activities, staff scheduling, workflow allocation, and operational performance.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse safety procedures, and logistics operations.

  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, including the safe operation of warehouse equipment and vehicle movements.

  • Experience coordinating inbound and outbound freight, dispatch activities, and transport schedules.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Competency in using warehouse management systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work independently and make operational decisions in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
