Tā mātou arawātea | Our Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Risk Assurance, you will play a key role in the delivery of Mercury’s internal assurance programme, annual risk assurance plan and enterprise risk reporting. This is a senior role with high autonomy, broad stakeholder engagement and exposure to executive and governance forums, working across Mercury to provide independent assurance, strengthen risk and control outcomes, and support clear, practical reporting to management and Board committees.

This is not a people management role. Instead, your impact will come through your ability to influence, collaborate and provide quality insight across the business. You’ll work with external auditors, co-source providers and internal stakeholders to complete assurance reviews, report findings and track agreed actions through to completion.

This is an interesting and diverse opportunity to work right across Mercury, partnering with different business groups to support our strategy, drive practical improvements and help teams turn risk insights into action. You’ll be someone who can operate at Board and executive level while staying close to the detail and getting hands-on with delivery, bringing insight, independence and practical thinking to work that has real impact.

Based in our Newmarket office, you’ll have the flexibility to work collaboratively with stakeholders in our modern offices or work from home, with flexible start and finish times to support life outside work.
