Reporting to the Credit Risk Strategy & Appetite Lead, you’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and stakeholder engagement—helping drive forward our credit risk framework and ensuring alignment across Line 1 and Line 2 teams.

In this role, you’ll partner across the business to influence credit strategy, enhance risk practices, and enable commercial success. You’ll bring together data, insights, and stakeholder perspectives to drive continuous improvement in how we manage credit appetite.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting the delivery of credit risk strategy and appetite priorities across Business and Corporate Banking
  • Monitoring and analysing key credit metrics to identify opportunities for growth and de-risking
  • Producing high-quality insights, research, and papers to inform strategic decision-making
  • Designing and overseeing controls to maintain a robust credit risk and compliance framework
  • Facilitating credit risk forums and committees, including preparing content and managing governance processes
  • Partnering with distribution and credit teams to identify pain points and simplify processes
  • Driving collaboration across Line 1, Line 2, and wider stakeholders to ensure alignment and best outcomes

You’re a commercially minded risk professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You bring strong analytical capability, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to problem solving, with the ability to influence outcomes across a broad range of stakeholders.

You Bring

  • Solid experience in business banking, in front line and/or credit risk related roles (minimum 3+ years)
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management frameworks and practices
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across diverse teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing priorities and ambiguity in a dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving capability, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset
