We’re looking for an Operations Specialist to join our high-performing team on a 12-Month Fixed Term — a great opportunity for someone early in their project or change career who is keen to build their experience while contributing to meaningful initiatives across Operations.
Mō te Tūranga | About the role
This is a dynamic, delivery-focused role where you’ll support and contribute to operational initiatives that improve how we work, enhance customer outcomes, and strengthen our systems and processes.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, helping coordinate and deliver initiatives, support system and process changes, and ensure outcomes are effectively embedded into business-as-usual.
This role offers exposure to complex operational environments and end-to-end processes, making it an ideal stepping stone into project delivery, continuous improvement, or transformation pathways.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supporting the delivery of operational initiatives and change activity across Enterprise Operations
- Coordinating and tracking progress of projects, ensuring key milestones and outcomes are met
- Partnering with stakeholders to support process improvements, system changes, and implementation activities
- Assisting with high-level and detailed business requirements
- Assisting with testing (UAT), rollout, and embedding of new or enhanced capabilities
- Gathering insights and using data to support decision-making and track outcomes
- Managing risks, ensuring strong controls and alignment with policy and regulatory requirements
- Contributing ideas and continuous improvement opportunities to enhance customer and operational outcomes
- Supporting effective communication and engagement across stakeholders

You’ll be someone who is curious, proactive, and keen to grow your career in operations or project delivery. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with others, and getting things done.
Ideally, You’ll Bring
- 2–5 years’ experience in operations, project coordination, or a similar environment
- Exposure to banking, financial services, or product/process-focused roles (highly advantageous)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and follow through on outcomes
- Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and apply new approaches
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality and risk awareness
- An interest in continuous improvement, change, or project delivery
Experience working with customer-facing products e.g. cards or payment-related processes will be highly regarded.
