About The Role
We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Decision Support team. This is a great opportunity for an established analyst who has built solid foundations in financial planning, reporting and analysis, and is looking to deepen their experience – with a clear pathway to develop into business partnering and more forward-looking commercial work over time.
Our Decision Support team is a high performing team, and we work within a collaborative team environment. In this role you'll support our Customer Growth portfolio, working across sales, marketing, group communications and our new healthy behaviour initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supporting the delivery of the annual business planning, quarterly forecasting and monthly management reporting processes
- Preparing reporting and analysis to assist in effective financial management and decision-making
- Working with cost centre owners across the Customer Growth portfolio to gather inputs, answer queries and provide accurate, timely information
- Responding to ad hoc analysis requests with curiosity and attention to detail
- Owning and improving the data, models and processes that underpin our reporting
- Bringing a continuous improvement mindset – identifying opportunities to streamline, automate and reduce manual effort across our processes.
This role will evolve with you. As you demonstrate capability, there will be opportunities to take on more forward-looking analysis and develop towards a business partnering career path.
You Are Energetic, Curious, Great With Numbers And Always Looking To Improve How Things Are Done. Ideally You Will Also Have
- A relevant qualification, e.g., accounting, commerce / finance, economics or related
- Proven experience in a finance analyst or similar role, with a solid understanding of how the general ledger, budgeting and financial planning processes work
- Hands-on experience supporting budgeting, forecasting or planning cycles
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to use data to identify trends and solve problems
- Exposure to sales and marketing functions (a bonus, not a requirement)
- The learning agility to pick up new systems – experience with TechnologyOne, Power BI or SQL is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication, both verbal and written
- The ability to effectively prioritise and manage your workload, shifting between tasks when required.
