CARTERS Cambridge Manufacturing is seeking an experienced HIAB driver to join their team. This isn't a drop-and-go delivery role – you will be working directly with builders and site crews, placing product precisely where it's needed and making sure every lift is done safely and professionally. If you are an experienced HIAB operator who knows their way around a busy construction site and wants a stable, long-term role with a well-established team, this could be the perfect fit.
- Efficiently load and deliver orders navigating various residential and commercial construction sites
- Hands on experience operating a Hiab crane with a strong understanding of load limits, safe rigging and slinging safety requirements
- Delivering exceptional customer service to all, whether on-site or off-site, ensuring their needs are met to the highest standards
- Supporting the yard team when required to load and unload delivery vans and trucks
- Recommend suitable products, tailored to customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards through general branch housekeeping
About you
You will be the perfect fit for this role if you are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and have the following skills, qualities, and certifications.
- A valid FULL CLASS 4/5 License essential, Hiab licence and experience
- Forklift F Endorsed Licence with OSH Certificate essential
- Solid understanding of load restraint and NZ load securing requirements
- Experience navigating tight residential construction sites with overhead hazards and soft ground
- A team-focused attitude with a positive, can-do approach and building the rapport with our customers
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach and able to work to tight delivery schedules
- Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling
- Strong safety awareness and understanding of relevant regulations
- Capable in navigating computer systems with a firm grasp of technology
- Building industry knowledge an advantage
