An opportunity exists within Aotea Electric Auckland's established and progressive company to lead the pre-construction team performing electrical estimating and design & build solutions.

We will be seeking a person that is self-driven and with experience in estimating or management roles with the electrical industry.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of competitive and negotiated tenders, ensuring alignment with scope, client expectations, and delivery capabilities.
- Act as the primary client contact during the pre-construction phase.
- Lead engagement with consultants, architects, and subcontractors to resolve design and tender queries early.
- Manage the design component of all D&B submissions from early concept through to final client sign-off.
- Contribute to proposals and presentations for major bids and client briefings.
What you’ll bring
- Ability to oversee projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
- Effective leadership skills to inspire and guide a team, coupled with excellent communication to articulate technical information clearly to non-experts.
- Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations that impact electrical design and construction.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with other departments, clients, and stakeholders.
- Flexibility of working hours to meet sudden demands.
- Experience as an Electrical Estimator or Project Manager on large scale commercial projects.
