We are seeking a fixed term full time Lecturer to deliver a cohort of our level 1, Te Pōkaitahi Reo programme in Auckland to one of our key stakeholders from July to December 2026.
The position is located at our Tāmaki Campus (Manukau, Auckland), and the delivery site for this cohort is the SERCO site in Wiri. Classes are scheduled on site from 2pm – 4.30pm each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
As a Lecturer - Te Pōkaitahi Reo you will join a large team of existing experience Lecturers whose primary responsibility is to recruit students, to plan and deliver quality lectures and assessments, to support learning through face to face or online delivery, to monitor the papers and mentor students. Students for this cohort have been recruited.
As the position is part of our academic staff, you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of the papers that are taught within your curriculum area.
Our successful applicants will have:
- A minimum qualification at level 5 or 6 in the field of Te Reo Māori is required to teach a level 1 cohort.
- Experience monitoring, assessing, and delivering Te Reo Māori papers and programmes.
- Tertiary teaching experience and a teaching qualification, preferably adult teaching.
- Te Reo Māori proficiency to at least level 5 or 6, and a comprehensive understanding of Tīkanga Māori. Fluency in Te Reo preferred.
- A full clean driver’s licence.
