We are looking for an experienced auditor to join our Financial Assurance team inŌtautahi/Christchurchat Manager level. From our offices at thecentreof ourbeautiful gardencity, you willbe responsible forworking on various external audits with ourclients. Thisisa full-timeopportunity,Monday toFridaywith aminimumof37.5 hoursper week.

Your day-to-day could include

  • Leading audit engagements across a variety of the industries including financial services, manufacturing, retail, property, professional services, banking and much more
  • Supervising junior staff and coaching them on audit methodology and best-practice
  • Becoming an integral part of building the public's trust and confidence in our clients by delivering high quality audits of financial statements
  • Working directly with clients and teams, understanding our clients' needs, checking compliance with policies and procedures, testing internal controls and substantiating financial information
  • Using cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional external audit work

This is an excellent opportunity to build on yourexistingexternal audit experience which willideally come from a globally known professional services firm. We are looking forthe following competencies and experience to therole:

  • 5+ years’ work experience as an external auditor for a large, global auditing firm. Some of this experience must include Consumer Industry Products and Services with a specialty in mining (CIPS)
  • You must be a member of relevant professional accounting such as, but not limited to, CAANZ, CPA , ACCA or ICAEW
  • Proven experience leading audit engagements from planning to completion
  • Proven experience supervising, coaching and leading junior staff members on audit engagements
  • Experience working with globally recognised financial reporting standards such as IFRS
  • A relevant Bachelor's or Master's qualification in accounting or a closely-related subject
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
