Fleet Dispatcher

Nishant Maharaj Transport Limited operates a fleet of vehicles transporting goods for clients. We are looking for a reliable Transport fleet dispatcher to keep our freight moving and our records accurate.

About the role

You will receive, despatch and record goods, prepare loads for despatch, and help keep daily transport operations running smoothly. Key tasks and responsibilities include:

• Verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing goods
• Preparing, checking and labelling goods for despatch
• Comparing goods against manifests, invoices and orders to confirm quantities and accuracy
• Recording and verifying particulars of goods received and despatched
• Compiling reports of daily despatch and receiving transactions
• Coordinating daily pick-up and delivery schedules with drivers

• Allocating freight and loads to vehicles and runs
• Tracking and monitoring vehicle movements and delivery progress
• Preparing and maintaining driver run sheets and despatch dockets
• Communicating delivery times, updates and delays to customers
• Liaising with drivers and the operations team to resolve scheduling or routing issues
• Helping ensure loads comply with weight, securing and health & safety requirements

Skills, experience and qualifications required

• A relevant qualification or one year of relevant work experience
• Experience in despatch, warehousing or transport operations preferred
• Good accuracy with records, dockets and stock/freight data preferred
• Strong communication and coordination skills for liaising with drivers and customers
• Competent with despatch/transport software and standard office systems
• A full, clean, valid driver licence

Full time employment with salary range of $30.00-$38.00 per hour, depending upon experience. The role requires to work full time, weekend, public holiday and evening shifts included.
