Communications & Marketing Manager

About The Role

Edison is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to lead our communications and marketing approach. This is a flexible, part-time role (we are open to 3–4 days per week) with a mix of strategic leadership and hands-on delivery. You'll evolve how we communicate internally and externally, support business development initiatives, and ensure our messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned to our culture, values, Strategic and Business Plans.

This role may be based in Auckland or Wellington.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Communications and Marketing Strategy for Edison, aligned with our Strategic Plan and yearly Business Plans
  • Communication planning and execution of the plans
  • Manage internal and external communications (LinkedIn, website, newsletters)
  • Monitor performance and improve communication and marketing effectiveness
  • Provide bid/tender writing and content support
  • Own and evolve Edison's brand and collateral
  • Shape the layout and presentation of our key documents (Annual Report, Strategy, Business Plan)
  • Provide communications and marketing advice

About You

  • Experience in communications and marketing in a medium sized business (50 – 150 people)
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Confident managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, practical approach
  • Experience supporting bids/tenders and working in professional services (preferred)
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrates initiative and is an effective problem solver
  • Displays good judgement with a pragmatic approach
