We’re currently looking for an Analyst / Senior Analyst to join our Consulting team in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland.

Our Management Consulting team at PwC New Zealand partners with organisations across the public and private sectors to solve their most complex challenges and drive meaningful, lasting change. Y ou will be part of a team delivering outstanding service to a wide range of clients - designing and driving solutions to ensure their needs are met. You will work through ambiguity and apply critical thinking to resolve complex problems for large-scale projects. You will take responsibility for at least one element of project delivery and lead that section - reporting into senior staff to ensure the engagement is on track. You will analyse, build and present solutions and findings - contributing significantly to creating deliverables with impact for clients. You will play a key role in building relationships both internally and externally.

  • Keep up to date with industry knowledge as appropriate to develop a specialist level of expertise

  • Contribute to the development of approved i nnovative client service offerings by applying knowledge

  • Apply a professional mind-set, consulting on issues as appropriate

  • Identify technical solutions to client/industry issues using pre-existing materials such as methodologies or previous engagement

  • Perform project reviews

  • Effectively apply PwC frameworks, methodologies, and quality standards

  • Consult with the Job Manager to determine client document management procedures

  • Demonstrate awareness of PwC’s risk management policies and procedures in verbal communication and documentation

  • Complete appropriate documentation for any client discussions and research undertaken

  • Perform assigned tasks appropriately ensuring you are understanding and monitoring completion of deliverables

  • Establish initial processes to gather information as required to clients within the scope of the assignment

  • Display professional judgement in identifying when to seek assistance

  • Take overall responsibility to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, within deadlines and all available resources are considered

  • Interact with and contribute to the coordination of work and efforts of external parties and/or colleagues on a One Firm basis

  • Present ideas in a concise and well thought out manner showing how these ideas bring value to PwC or the client

  • Write well-structured reports/report sections that highlight the key issues/views to the client

  • Identify potential opportunities for PwC to help clients, and refer these to appropriate team members

  • Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience using structured approaches to improve business processes and perform business analysis and/or design.

  • Consulting Background (Preferred): Ideally, you’ve worked in a consulting or top-tier professional services firm in a similar role.
