The Role

At Bushbuck, customer experience isn’t a single function - it sits at the center of everything we do.

This is a hands-on, flexible role across the full customer journey. Rather than being tied down to a defined set of tasks, the role is tailored to suit the individual. We hire great people first, then shape responsibilities around their strengths and how they best contribute to the customer service team.

On any given day, you’ll work across our core customer interaction channels - in person, phone, and email - owning the end-to-end customer experience.

This includes (but not limited to) supporting customer enquiries, sales, resolving orders, guiding product decisions, and working closely with our warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth outcomes.

You’ll become highly knowledgeable across our product range and systems, and act as a key link between the customer and the business. Priorities shift quickly, and we expect the team to adapt and respond with confidence and ownership.

This is a full-time role based in Riccarton, Christchurch, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Delivering exceptional customer service across phone, email, and in-person in our showroom
  • Guiding and educating customers to help them choose the right products for their needs
  • Creatively solving customer problems and ensuring clear communication throughout
  • Working with warehouse and operations teams to resolve order issues quickly
  • Processing returns, exchanges, refunds, and warranty claims
  • Supporting/owning showroom operations, including stock management, merchandising, and point of sale
  • Assisting with inventory, stock accuracy, and stocktakes
  • Supporting events and Bushbuck activations around New Zealand (e.g. field days and shows)
  • Contributing ideas to improve systems, processes, and the customer experience
  • Acting as a passionate Bushbuck brand ambassador

About You

You are confident, willing to learn, and have a genuine interest in outdoor products and the environments they’re used in.

We’re less concerned about where you’ve worked and more interested in how you think and operate.

You’ll likely succeed in this role if you:

  • Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, logistics, administration, or e-commerce is beneficial but not essential.
