Due to internal movement, we are growing our team and have multiple Home Ownership Specialist opportunities available within Third Party Distribution. This is a great chance to build on your lending experience in a team that’s focused on strong relationships and great outcomes for advisers and their customers.

Te Tūranga | The role

As a Home Ownership Specialist within Third Party Distribution, you will work closely with Mortgage Advisers, building trusted relationships and supporting them through the home loan process.

You will assess and progress lending applications, managing your pipeline to deliver timely, consistent outcomes while working within ASB’s credit policy.

This is a fast-paced role where you’ll balance multiple priorities, stay connected with advisers, and work closely with other teams across ASB to deliver the best outcomes for customers.

Alongside strong autonomy in the role, we offer flexibility in how and where you work. We’re open to candidates based anywhere across New Zealand.

You will also:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advisers and key stakeholders
  • Assess and recommend home loan applications with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • Manage your pipeline to meet service standards and deadlines
  • Contribute to a consistent and high-quality experience for advisers working with ASB

Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?

We are looking for experienced lenders who are confident working with more complex lending and who enjoy building relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in home lending, including assessing more complex applications
  • Strong knowledge of home lending products and credit processes
  • Confidence working with financial analysis and credit solutions
  • The ability to build strong, trusted relationships with advisers and internal stakeholders
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work at pace
  • CAA Level 2 (required), with Level 3 preferred

Experience in roles such as Personal Banker with lending capability will be beneficial, along with a mix of both relationship and lending expertise.
