In this role, fostering a curious mindset will be crucial as you support the translation of our strategy into key results and initiatives that underpin Kiwibank's ambitions. By actively seeking knowledge through close engagement with the business, triangulating data from experts, and leveraging your performance mindset and applying critical thinking, you will collaborate with stakeholders to provide insights on performance, highlighting what really matters and providing clarity on what actions are required to deliver on our outcomes.

This is a varied role with core responsibilities including:

• Use strong stakeholder relationships and communication skills to clearly articulate performance drivers and implications.
• Partner with insights teams to deeply understand performance of key Kiwibank outcomes and translate it into clear monthly executive‑ready reporting that explains the so what and recommended actions.
• Deep dive assignments that seek to help the business understand specific problems, with analysis and recommendations on courses of action.
• Act as the in‑business coach on managing performance using Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), supporting their design and ongoing management across forums.
• Support business planning processes by shaping enterprise outcomes and facilitating aligned measures and initiatives that deliver Kiwibank’s goals.

Skills:

• Executive writing: clear, concise, and focused on the so what.
• Strong senior stakeholder management (General Manager, Head of level).
• Commercial acumen: able to identify what matters most in performance within context and being able to make trade offs
• Critical thinking: objectively challenging whether what’s in front of you makes sense using experience, judgement and data
• Curious mindset: digging deeper to understand why and not accepting the first answer
• Clear communicator with insights teams to align on drivers and final insights.

Experience:

• Big 4 consulting firm experience (strategic, critical, commercial), likely at a junior–mid level
• Strategic reporting or strategy team experience, ideally in smaller or flatter organisations with broad exposure
• Has influenced and impacted business actions to drive performance
• Finance business‑partnering analyst background (e.g. within finance or strategy).
