Basketball is more than a game – it's a community. The BNZ Breakers are looking for a relationship-driven leader to grow our memberships, ticketing, and fan engagement by building deeper connections with our fans, members, partners, and the wider basketball whānau.
Head of Memberships and Ticketing is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands that strong communities are built through meaningful experiences, genuine relationships, and a sense of belonging. You'll bring together customer insight, creativity, technology, and commercial thinking to create opportunities for people to connect with the Club, support the team, and become lifelong advocates for the Breakers.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you'll lead the Club's memberships and ticketing revenue function, working closely with Marketing and Commercial teams while leading a small team of dedicated specialists. You'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership capability while shaping strategy, improving systems, and delivering initiatives that strengthen the connection between the BNZ Breakers and the communities they represent.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing innovative fan engagement and loyalty initiatives
- Growing memberships, renewals, attendance, and ticketing revenue
- Using CRM, customer insights, and technology to improve performance
- Leading ticketing revenue strategy, reporting, forecasting, and campaign delivery
- Coaching and developing a small high-performing team
- Building systems, processes, and customer journeys that support long-term growth and loyalty
About You
You'll likely bring:
- Experience in consumer revenue-generating environments such as memberships, customer growth, ticketing, sales, marketing, loyalty, or subscription-based
- Strong consumer marketing and acquisition capability
- Experience using CRM systems and customer data to improve results
- Proven success in achieving commercial or revenue targets
- Team leadership experience is ideal, while a collaborative working style is a must
- A genuine passion for creating a community and outstanding customer experiences
- The ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and delivery focused
