We are seeking a Whānau Support Team Lead to join our team!

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead the day-to-day coordination of our Whānau Support team while working alongside them to deliver exceptional service to Ngāi Tahu whānui. You will oversee rostering, coaching, service quality, and operational performance across the contact centre, while also supporting frontline engagement through phone, email, online channels, and reception as needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front, building team capability, and ensuring every whānau interaction is professional, responsive, and mana-enhancing.

He Kōrero Mōu - About You

  • You bring solid experience in a contact centre or similar customer service environment, with confidence navigating fast-paced, high-volume workflows
  • You have experience supporting, coordinating or leading a small team and enjoy helping others succeed
  • You are comfortable coaching and onboarding others, with a practical, hands-on leadership style
  • You communicate clearly and professionally, with strong written skills, attention to detail, and sound judgement
  • You are confident using CRM systems and working within process, policy, and compliance requirements
  • You lead by example, bring a strong sense of manaakitanga, and take pride in creating positive experiences for whānau
  • You are open to growing your cultural capability and connection to Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga, and te reo Māori
