The Customer Tribe works across ASB Bank to deliver innovative customer and colleague experiences through specialist platforms like Salesforce. Our platform is made up of collaborative experts who are passionate about creating seamless, customer-centric solutions that make life easier for ASBers and our Customers.

As a Senior Software Engineer – Salesforce Functional, you’ll have the opportunity to work hands-on across a variety of interesting and complex initiatives while being part of a smaller squad within our innovation and platform area. You’ll help maintain a high level of service, scalability, and performance across our Salesforce ecosystem while contributing to the evolution of our customer and operational capabilities.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused Salesforce solutions
  • Translate business requirements into scalable functional designs and user stories
  • Support end-to-end delivery across analysis, design, testing, release, and continuous improvement activities
  • Contribute to backlog refinement, prioritisation, and solution planning activities
  • Work across integration initiatives and connected systems to improve platform capability and customer outcomes
  • Support platform governance, optimisation, and enhancement initiatives
  • Participate in design workshops and provide functional expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Help maintain high levels of platform performance, usability, and service availability
  • Share knowledge and mentor others across the wider Salesforce practice

ou’ll have strong experience working within Salesforce environments and be confident articulating business requirements, translating them into functional solutions, and influencing delivery outcomes across the SDLC.

Your positivity, collaborative mindset, and excellent communication skills enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders and share knowledge across teams to continuously grow capability.

As a starter for success, we’d love some of the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience working within Salesforce environments
  • Strong functional knowledge across Salesforce capabilities including Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud
  • Skilled in Salesforce configuration with hands-on declarative work on objects, fields, layouts, security, and Flows
  • Experienced in building OmniScripts and working with Salesforce Industries components such as DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, and FlexCards
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end delivery lifecycle
  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable functional solutions
  • Confident in applying and communicating industry best practices
  • Certified or experienced working in Agile delivery environments
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications in Agile ways of working
  • Good understanding of integrations and connected systems with strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
  • Ability to participate in design sessions, contribute to solution documentation, and communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences
