About the Role

As the Marketing Manager – Ranger, you will leverage your deep market expertise and passion for innovation to define and execute a strategic vision that differentiates our product cycle and drives overall marketing and sales success.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, this position is based at our Head Office in Ellerslie, Auckland. This role operates under a hybrid work arrangement, requiring four days on-site.

Responsibilities

· End-to-End Portfolio Ownership: Take full ownership of the pick-up portfolio’s performance for Ford New Zealand, acting as the ultimate custodian of the product line with accountability for hitting volume, market share, and brand KPIs.

· Campaign & Media Ownership: Lead the briefing, development, and execution of high-impact marketing and nameplate campaigns across digital, search, and offline channels to drive target audience engagement.

· Comprehensive Launch Execution: Manage all elements of successful vehicle launches, including pricing and profitability, dealer and sales training, customer events, agency briefings, and digital asset accuracy.

· Commercial & Incentive Management: Manage the Ranger budget, optimize vehicle margins, and develop and deploy competitive local market incentives alongside the Retail Marketing Lead.

· Cross-Functional & Sales Alignment: Partner with Sales Planning to align on program volumes and share objectives, support the long-term product planning and forecasting process, and collaborate internally across Product Development (based in Australia), as well as sales, service and accessories.

· Market Intelligence & Performance Tracking: Monitor competitor activity, conduct market research, and track key performance metrics (KPIs) to provide strategic recommendations and regular reports to senior management.

About you

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry, with a strong focus on marketing.
  • Experience working with and delivering best results from agency partners
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and growing new products or services, with demonstrable marketing successes.
  • Deep understanding of the commercial vehicle market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, emerging trends, and effective marketing strategies within this sector.
  • Experience with connectivity platforms and telematics solutions and their marketing implications.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
