Role Description/Criteria Role Requirements

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges
  • Assist teachers in implementing individualised education plans and implementing effective teaching strategies
  • Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources to support student learning
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support
  • Contribute to the overall positive and inclusive culture of the school

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for supporting the growth and development of all students
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
