About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

We have an opportunity within ACC's highly regarded Investments Group for an experienced Senior Equity Analyst. This role is responsible for providing security selection recommendations to the Portfolio Manager of the Australasian Listed Infrastructure Fund , with the objective of helping the portfolio to outperform its benchmark on a risk adjusted basis.

The Senior Equity Analyst will work closely with the Portfolio Manager and other members of the Equities team, contributing insights on value at both a stock and sector level.

This is a Wellington based position.

About you | Mōu

You'll bring a minimum of three years' experience as a Senior Equity Analyst. In addition, the following skills and experience are desirable:

  • Experience in analysing Australian and/or New Zealand listed equities, ideally including infrastructure and utilities.
  • A demonstrated track record of adding value through in-depth research and analysis of companies and industries, utilising strong financial modelling skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with investee companies and market participants.
  • A well-developed understanding of the trade-off between risk and return.
  • A strong work ethic and a proven ability to work collaboratively with a broader investment team, adding value through constructive discussion and the challenge of ideas.
  • An advanced understanding of financial theory and market behaviour, including awareness of behavioural bias in investment decision-making.
  • Post graduate qualifications in finance and/or relevant industry credentials such as a CFA.
