At ASB, our Financial Crime platform plays a critical role in protecting our customers, communities and the bank from fraud, scams and other financial crimes. We’re looking for Software Specialist to join our Financial Crime domain, working within a complex, highly regulated banking environment.

This is a delivery-focused, squad-embedded role. You’ll work closely with engineers, product owners and designers to drive clear, actionable insights that improve customer and system outcomes.

About The Role

You'll join a Financial Crime-aligned Agile squad focused on strengthening fraud prevention and customer protection across our digital channels. The role plays a key part in shaping and expanding behavioural intelligence and fraud detection capabilities across customer journeys, helping to protect customers from fraud and scams and other emerging fraud threats.

We are looking for a Software Specialist with exceptional problem-solving skills to assist us with our integration endeavours. The ideal candidate should own integration development with strong API development background and have experience with integrations to Mobile & Web applications.

About You

We are looking for someone who is willing to take ownership of tasks, challenge our thinking, passionate about their work and looking to grow. You will be well supported within your squad and within the wider ASB Engineering Community.

You Will Have Experience With The Following Technologies

  • Proficient as a C# .NET Developer using .NET/.NET Core
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience in working with database concepts using SQL Server
  • Microservices architecture
  • Experience with Kafka or event streaming
  • Experience working with GHES
  • Experience with DevOps – Azure / Octopus Deployment
  • Good understanding and experience of working using Agile principles

We are looking for a mix of technical skills to support the following activities:

  • Designing, maintaining and developing solutions
  • Continuous improvement of process and technology to be scalable and highly available
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand their needs
  • Monitoring, alerting, and reporting on environments
  • Mentoring and uplifting the best practice
