Lead Process Technician

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Process Technician to join our team. You will run the Wetmix Milk Treatment process (milk reception, separators, pasteurisers, and standardising line) and set milk planning direction for the site.

Our shifts allow for plenty of flexibility and work life balance with 4 days off between shifts.Based on a rotational roster, you will be on the shift pattern below: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off (12.5 hourshifts)

Key responsibilities of this role include..

• Operation of critical manufacturing equipment within designed running parameters
• Ensuring all our products are manufactured in-spec and right first time
• Keeping the manufacturing environment to a high quality standard
• This role requires thinking within detailed standard practices and instructions alongside the support from Line, Process and Maintenance Leads. This role must be capable of identifying and adding/removing variations within an operational process based on situational work settings.
• This role is responsible for problem solving and solution identification/follow-up across the plant
• Support maintenance activity through permit issuing

Skills And Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience working in a process operator role, ideally within a dairy, FMCG, manufacturing, or processing environment
• Demonstrated fault-finding and troubleshooting capability across equipment, systems, and production processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process issues, investigate root causes, implement effective solutions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across teams and shifts, with strong interpersonal skills and the capability to provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to others within a production environment
• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and driving operational excellence through continuous learning and improvement
